TUITION AND SCHOLARSHIPS
At STIX Academy, our mission is to make rhythm, mentorship, and community accessible to every student. While our nonprofit work focuses on youth and veterans, our programs are open to all learners ages 12 and up who are ready to grow through music.
To ensure every student can thrive, our instructors use professional discretion to determine readiness for participation—behaviorally, emotionally, and developmentally.
Our Base Tuition price is $160/month. From there, families may qualify for discounts, military pricing or additional support through our Enhanced Scholarships: Pulse, Groove, and Cadence.
STIX Academy is an approved Step Up For Students provider, allowing eligible families to use their scholarship funds toward tuition.
Please note: Scholarships only cover tuition; instruments, gear, and merchandise are available separately at discounted rates.
Tuition
Includes four 1-hour lessons per month.

We aim to serve as many families as possible while stewarding donor support responsibly.
S.T.I.X. Scholarship Programs
STIX Academy offers donor-funded, need-based scholarships to help make lessons accessible to
families with financial need.
Scholarships are:
- Available to all families, including Step Up scholarship recipients
- Awarded based on verified financial need and individual circumstances
- Limited each year based on available donor funding
- Just fill out an application and select the scholarship you are applying for
Step Up For Students Scholarship
STIX Academy is an approved provider for Step Up For Students scholarships, including programs such as FES-UA and PEP, based on eligible services.
Families may use Step Up funds for eligible programs.
Important: STIX scholarships are designed to supplement financial need and may be awarded when available
education scholarship funds do not fully cover participation costs.
Military Discount
At S.T.I.X. Academy, honoring those who serve is at the heart of everything we do. As part of our mission to support the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedom, we are proud to offer a reduced monthly rate to veterans, active-duty military members, and their families.
We believe that access to music, mentorship, and community should never be out of reach for those who have given so much, and this special rate is our way of saying thank you while helping veterans and military families find healing, purpose, and connection through the power of rhythm.

Our Learning Environment
STIX Academy serves students ages 12 and up. Because our curriculum emphasizes reading
music, structured practice, and focused instruction, students must be developmentally ready to
participate in a structured learning environment.
Younger students may be considered on a case-by-case basis. A readiness evaluation helps ensure
each student can:
- Maintain focus during a full lesson
- Follow multi-step instructions
- Engage with reading music
- Practice assigned material consistently
This approach helps create a positive and successful experience for both the student and instructor.
Program Fit
While we welcome a wide range of learners, our instructors are not clinical therapists or behavioral specialists.
If a student requires specialized support beyond what can be safely provided in a music lesson setting, STIX Academy may not be the best fit. We are always happy to discuss your student’s needs prior to enrollment.
