At Standing Together In Christ (S.T.I.X.) Academy, rhythm is more than music, it’s a tool for transformation. Drumming becomes a medium for life lessons, accountability, and self-expression, evolving alongside value-based workshops that reinforce teamwork and personal growth.
We also honor the journey of veterans, offering them a path to healing and renewed purpose through brotherhood and service. By integrating their wisdom and experience into our programming, we create a space where generations uplift one another.
Our Learning Environment
STIX Academy serves students ages 12 and up. Because our curriculum emphasizes reading music, structured practice, and focused instruction, students must be developmentally ready to participate in a structured learning environment.
Younger students may be considered on a case-by-case basis. A readiness evaluation helps ensure each student can:
- Maintain focus during a full lesson
- Follow multi-step instructions
- Engage with reading music
- Practice assigned material consistently
This approach helps create a positive and successful experience for both the student and instructor.
Program Fit
While we welcome a wide range of learners, our instructors are not clinical therapists or behavioral specialists. If a student requires specialized support beyond what can be safely provided in a music lesson setting, STIX Academy may not be the best fit. We are always happy to discuss your student’s needs prior to enrollment.
WHO ARE S.T.I.X. STUDENTS?

Our Base Tuition price is $160/month. From there, families may qualify for discounts, military pricing or additional support through our Enhanced Scholarships: Pulse, Groove, and Cadence.
STIX Academy is an approved Step Up For Students provider, allowing eligible families to use their scholarship funds toward tuition.
Please note: Scholarships only cover tuition; instruments, gear, and merchandise are available separately at discounted rates.

After retiring from the military, Enrique discovered two anchors, drumming and faith, that restored his purpose and ignited a calling to serve others.

Frequently asked questions
What ages do you teach?
We build drummers starting at age 12, but if the skill and passion is there, youth as young as 8 are considered on an individual basis.
Will you come to us for lessons?
We hold all individual lessons at our location in Neptune Beach. If you are looking to hold a large group lesson or drum circle please contact us to discuss details.
Are lessons offered weekly?
Your monthly tuition covers 4 one-hour lessons each month.
Do students need prior drumming experience?
No
Do you provide drums or do students bring their own?
STIX Academy provides all of the equipment needed for the lesson.
What equipment does my child need?
Although STIX Academy provides all the equipment needed for the drum lesson, STIX academy does not provide equipment to take home. We recommend that each student purchase a set of drum sticks and a practice pad. This purchase is not mandatory, but it will significantly add to the student’s progress.
Are parents allowed to observe classes?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage parents to observe their kiddo’s lessons. It is so much fun to see their faces when they learn something new.
Is STIX Academy a Christian program?
We are an academy rooted in Christian Values, but we welcome everyone, regardless of religious beliefs.
