At Standing Together In Christ (S.T.I.X.) Academy, rhythm is more than music, it’s a tool for transformation. Drumming becomes a medium for life lessons, accountability, and self-expression, evolving alongside value-based workshops that reinforce teamwork and personal growth.
We also honor the journey of veterans, offering them a path to healing and renewed purpose through brotherhood and service. By integrating their wisdom and experience into our programming, we create a space where generations uplift one another.
Our initial focus is building a strong community presence, developing curriculum, nurturing relationships, and creating spaces that inspire belonging. Long-term goals include establishing a dedicated facility, expanding mentorship, and deepening our impact where encouragement and transformation matter most.
With support from local leaders, faith communities, and early donors, S.T.I.X. Academy is preparing to make a lasting impact, one heart, one rhythm, one disciple at a time.
Enrique Melendez
FOUNDER
Enrique served 22 years in the U.S. Army, including the elite 75th Ranger Regiment and the U.S. Army Parachute Team. After sustaining a life-altering injury, he endured a long season of recovery that reshaped his path.
In that journey, Enrique discovered two anchors, drumming and faith, that restored his purpose and ignited a calling to serve others. What began as personal healing grew into a vision to empower youth and honor veterans through rhythm, mentorship, and community.
He went on to found S.T.I.X. Academy, where music becomes a tool for transformation and hope. Enrique is proudly married to Rosimar and father to Lyanne,who is marrired to Nolan. His family serves as the heartbeat behind the mission.
